Zoeken en vinden

Voordat u naar werk kunt gaan zoeken zult u een aantal voorbereidingen moeten treffen. Één ervan is het opstellen van uw curriculum vitae in het portugees. Kunt u dit niet alleen dan is het aan te raden een (beëdigd) vertaler in te schakelen.
Daarnaast zal u ook uw diploma's moeten laten vertalen, waarderen en legaliseren. Hieronder wat meer informatie hierover:

Legaliseren diploma
Door uw diploma te legaliseren, krijgt u het wettelijk bewijs dat uw Nederlandse diploma is erkend door het ministerie van OCenW.
Onderwijsbevoegdheid
In de verklaring van onderwijsbevoegdheid staat in welke vakken en aan welke scholen u in Nederland bevoegd bent les te geven.
Statusverklaring
Een statusverklaring geeft iemand buiten Nederland inzicht in het niveau van de opleiding die u hebt gevolgd.
Vertalen diploma
Een exacte vertaling van uw diploma is belangrijk voor de juiste waardering van uw diploma in het buitenland.
Waarderen opleiding
Uw (niet afgemaakte) opleiding wordt volgens de normen van het huidige onderwijsstelsel gewaardeerd Ook het diploma van een opleiding die niet meer bestaat, kunt u laten waarderen.

De volgorde van afhandeling

Het is aan te raden eerst uw diploma's te laten waarderen door het Ministerie van Onderwijs.
Natuurlijk is het ook belangrijk een statusverklaring van uw opleiding aan te vragen zodat je kunt aantonen wat je opleidingsniveau is in vergelijking tot buitenlandse niveaus. Op de site van Het Min. van O&W staat hier alle info over.
Daarna kan de vertaling van het diploma en status verklaring plaatsvinden. Dit moet gebeuren door een beëdigd vertaler (zie hiervoor het hoofdstuk 'Taal').

Na het vertalen (uw diploma's zijn ineens 2 maal zo zwaar) kan de legalisatie beginnen.
Meestal is het zo dat hoe meer stempels je hebt hoe beter. Natuurlijk kost elke stempel geld, maar een ticket terug omdat je een stempel bent vergeten is ook niet goedkoop.
De legalisatie van het Min. van Buitenlandse Zaken gebeurd aan de legalisatie balie. Bel deze eerst even op en vraag de openingstijden zodat je niet voor een dichte balie staat. Het legaliseren duurt meestal een uurtje. (er zijn waarschijnlijk meer documenten die je wilt laten legaliseren, zoals geboorteakte, uittreksel van je geboorte register etc. dus verzamel eerst alles zodat je niet tien maal heen en weer hoeft naar het Min. van BUZA).

Als laatste stap moet alles gelegaliseerd worden door het consulaat van Brazilië. Je hebt als het goed is nu een hele stapel documenten vol met stempels en zegels.

Vergeet ook niet om even een gewaarmerkte kopie van alles te laten maken. Dan heb je altijd een reserve kopie van het document. Dit kun je ook bij het consulaat laten doen.

Waarom legaliseren?

De reden van legalisatie door het Ministerie van BUZA is eigenlijk omdat het consulaat niet zomaar elk document/stempel wil herkennen en legaliseren. Sommige documenten worden echter wel direct door het consulaat gelegaliseerd en dat scheelt natuurlijk weer heel wat stempels (lees geld). Vraag daarom na bij het consulaat welk document een pre-legalisatie van het Ministerie van Buitenlandse zaken vereist. Door het consulaat werd mij verteld dat uittreksels en andere documenten van de gemeente direct door hen kunnen worden gelegaliseerd. Ook de stempels van de beëdigd vertaler zullen moeten worden gelegaliseerd.
Het legaliseren door het consulaat is nodig om de documenten geldig te maken voor gebruik in Brazilië.

-LBO =Ensino Profissional Básico
-MAVO (heet tegenwoordig: VMBO - praktisch - VMBO theoretisch) = Ensino Secundário Geral Médio
-HAVO = Ensino Secundário Geral Superior 9que dá acesso à escola superior)
-VWO = Ensino Científico Preparatório (que dá acesso à universidade)
-VBO =Ensino Profissional Preparatório
-MBO =Ensino Profissional Médio (formação curta)
-HBO =Ensino Profissional Superior (Escola superior)

Werken in Brazilië

Één van de mogelijkheden om een permanente verblijfsvergunning te krijgen in Brazilië is een baan te vinden bij een Braziliaans bedrijf. Er zijn genoeg buitenlandse bedrijven te vinden in Brazilië (waaronder een aantal Nederlandse, ABN Amro bank, Philips, Siemens o.a.). Hier vindt u een lijst van Nederlandse bedrijven in Brazilië, Braziliaanse bedrijven in Nederland, Agents in Nederland en Agents in Brazilië.

U kunt natuurlijk overal uw CV achterlaten. Er zijn voldoende jobbanks om dit te doen. Denk er alleen wel aan dat er ook heel veel mensen hun CV daar achterlaten en er dus niet zo'n hoge kans is dat u gekozen wordt als een kandidaat. Een hoge opleiding (HBO, Universiteit) heeft altijd de voorkeur.

Werkvergunning

Om in Brazilië te mogen werken moet je wel in het bezit zijn van een werkvergunning (carteira de trabalho).

Op dit moment mag je al gelijk gaan werken wanneer je je permanente visum aanvraagt(en dus nog niet in het bezit bent van dit visum). Je krijgt dan van de Policia Federal een verklaring waarmee je mij het minesterio de trabalho je carteira de trabalho kan ophalen. Het is een soort gedoogbeleid omdat de permanente visum aanvraag wel 2 jaar kan duren, en de situatie financieel onhoudbaar werd voor veel mensen die in de procedure zaten.
